Quilled Cardinal
For today's inspiration challenge, I was inspired by this cardinal ornament. I quilled the cardinal. I still have a lot of learning when it comes to quilling. I am basically trying to teach myself by looking at what others have done. I think I need to use a different glue, or I need to be more patient so that there is no glue overage. If anyone has some tips for a beginner quiller, I would love to hear them.

Autumn Days
I took a piece of gold cardstock and I stamped sentiments and images from several Mark's Finest Papers sets. I used : Thankful for you, Thankful mums and pumpkins, and Autumn Fun.
I then cut the gold paper in a leaf shape. I got my template by photocopying a leaf and using that as my pattern. After I cut the leaf shape out, I took a ruler and a black marker and doodled on the leaf. I finished the card by using a sentiment from Mark's Finest Papers Thankful for you set and a leaf punch on more gold paper.
The inspiration challenge on Splitcoast, today, took us to a website called Poster Cabaret. I was inspired by this poster.

Porcelain Paper Butterfly
I used the butterfly from Mark's Finest Papers -Daffodil and Anise set to make a porcelain paper butterfly pin. The inspiration challenge today was from Pink Taffy Designs. I was inspired by this mobile. This pin is different from others that I have made, because, I added spirals of wire and beads at the bottom of the pin.Wednesday, July 28, 2010
Impressionmistic background
.jpg)
I did the impressionistic technique on these flowers. I stamped them and sprayed them with water so that the colors ran a little. I then did ink spray smash technique on the background. Then when it was all dry I outlined the flowers and leaves with prisma colored pencils. I added glamour dust to the flowers. It was a very hard card to get a good photo of.

Cards- longing for springtime
All my cards this week had a longing for springtime theme. At least that is how I was feeling. The snow outside and cold winter winds, made me long for the vibrant colors and warmth of spring.
This card was for the sketch challenge and for the ways to use it challenge to use orange on a card. I thought I would make a monarch butterfly, because they are orange. However, I decided to color my butterfly to look like an orange sulphur butterfly.
This is the card I made for the inspiration challenge. I loved the little moonbird. I especially loved the bird on the cactus, because it reminded me of springtime in the dessert. I love how green the dessert gets in the spring, especially after the rain.

I made this card for CHLOE, who was born a couple of weeks ago. It is also for the limited supply challenge to use ribbon and an edge punch. I also used the mojo126 layout.

This is for the Stampin' Sisters challenge to make a creation that lets someone we love, know that they are loved by us and by God. It was also for the technique challenge to make a match book candy holder.

Mothermark's teaparty was on FAT TUESDAY. Here is my mardi gras card. It is so different from what I would usually make, but I love the colors.

Black and blue and white
The inspiration challenge at SCS was to be inspired by something on the Anthropologie website. I chose this outfit what was black and white with a touch of blue on the flowers. I punched the ede with my fiskars border punch. I stamped the flowers and flourishes with black stazon ink. I used my prisma colored pencils to add some blue. I added 3 little clear rhinestones at the right hand side.Wednesday, October 21, 2009
Moonlit moose
This was for the SCS inspiration challenge. I didn't have a deer stamp, but I did have a moose. I masked the moon and the reflection and I brayered over the top with blue.Easel Card - Sunset

I really like how my sunset card turned out for the inspiration challenge so I made another one and made it an easel card.

RED POPPIES in a butterfly vase
Today's Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge, was to be inspired by Bellacor Vases. I was inspired by this Butterfly Vase. Well, to be truthful, I was more inspired by the flowers and thought that I could make the vase work. I used my deckle scissors to cut the petals and leaves out. I used chalk to add the yellow. I used a circle punch for the black centers and my ek success snowflake punch for the green leaves on the 2 partial flowers. I used versamark ink to stamp butterflies on black cardstock. I heat embossed with silver embossing powder. I glued everything to a turquoise base becuase I thought that it complimented the poppies.
