Pink Gem Designs Fairy Teddy Card with Chocolate

We all love chocolate. so what better birthday card than one filled with chocolate!!!!!!! You could also fill it with something like Jewellery– a charm bracelet, earrings… really whatever takes your fancy. I made this using one piece of A4 cardboard. I also tried out cutting vinyl stars in my Cricut  using the Plantin School Book Cartridge and a teal colour vinyl and they turned out brilliantly.I used these stars over the acetate window, and you can see they are shiny and add an extra element to the card. I used my Copic Sketch markers to colour in my Fairy Teddy and used my Copic  Blender pen to create the dots on her wings and dress to tie my polka dot theme together. I floated the stars across the sky above her head to create that magical  floating on air  concept for my fairy teddy. I used 3 colours with the glitter to get just the right look for this sparkly card. Fairy Teddy Card 009

In an effort to be frugal I always try to be as economical as possible with my projects as you can see.

As you can’t see…. as once it’s all glued down….. and otherwise it’s just such a waste!Christmas Cards December 2011 003

I made this Christmas card set as a present for one of my sisters.

Magnolia Christmas Card

I made this for my girlfriend Tracey(my bridesmaid) and her family. I wanted to have a bit of fun with Tilda and decided if I was her I’d be swinging around too!As you can see there is lots of glitter..on the card, all over me and Honey my dog has a bit on her as well…everywhere I tell you. I challenged myself to make a Centre Step Card and I’m very pleased with the result and using not just….. non traditional colours, but my favorites!

Christmas Tree Gift Card

Here is a super simple card to make and the snow is 11 am snow. Early morning snow is hard and icy and very blue and the after lunch snow can start to melt and sometimes gets slushy (like the drink), but this is perfect snow…. 11am snow…not too hard and not too soft and glistens with the sun, it shimmers like a layer of glitter! To make your very own 11am glimmering snow firstly perfectly cut a rectangle of white cardstock at approximately two thirds the height of the base card now rip at an angle, at proportions one third & two thirds. Now layer the highest one at the base of your card and the smaller second piece over the top and liberally apply glitter glue for perfect 11 am snow! Australia's Got Talent November 2011 004

Challenges this card qualifies for:

My Golden Retriever Honey came home from hospital on Thursday night and she is heading for a speedy recovery, this time last week we thought the worst at the words spinal injury but every day her ability to do more and more is amazing and every step towards recovery is very positive. We got her back swimming and she is so happy as she normally swims up to 4 times a day and I think she is actually smiling. I am very relieved to have her home! Thank you, I really appreciate all your well wishes for Honey. All of a sudden that song “All I want for Christmas is YOU" is so true!

Hope you have all had a great weekend.
