Peeps at the Beach


The Peeps at the Beach collection has everything you need to make adorable scrapbook pages, cards or invitations featuring your summer photos. Whether you were grilling and chilling or splashing in the surf, you will find your scrapbook page accents in this collection. The PEEPS(paper dolls and bears) come in 4 varieties, mom, dad, boy and girl with appropriately size clothes for each. All kinds of accessories are included from swim rings to sunglasses to flippers and summer toys like a Frisbee or a baseball and bat. Daddy Peep has his grill and a beer and surfboards. Mommy Peep has a book, her cell phone and a laptop to help her survive her day at the beach. Lots of background scene items like palm trees, sand dunes and waves and sea occupants like scuba divers, dolphins, crabs and turtles, even a few fish. I even added a few vintage cars like a hippy van, a woody station wagon, a love bug and an ICE CREAM TRUCK…Hey it isn’t summer, without the ice cream man!

You do need basic inkscape skills to use this package. You need to be able to open a file in inkscape, and move things around, copy them to a new file, as you will get a file with a body in it, and an assortment of hair styles, clothes and accessories, that you will need to select from. What I do is “dress” my doll in the file, then copy it to another file, then color separate it there(with all the other people who are in the scene too). By color separating, I mean that I drag the outfit pieces to separate areas of the mat. I then layout my paper on the mat,with various colors of paper on the mat to correspond to each group of items to be cut in one color, so that I can cut it all out in one Cricut cut.

This initial Peep package contains all the dolls and hair styles, clothes, accessories, page backgrounds, page titles and summer time vehicles and sells for $15.00. There are three "all ready to cut" scenes laid out too, so all you have to do is put your paper on the mat and cut, the color separation and accessory choices have aleady been made for you. With the flexibility of this package, you can make many of your own PEEPS.
