Singing Santa, Reindeer and Snowmen...FILE FIXED

Last year I gave you dancing santa and reindeer. This year the santa, reindeer and snowmen are caroling. I'M SORRY THIS FILE DIDN'T WORK. I FORGOT TO CONVERT SOME RECTANGLES AND CIRCLES TO PATHS. IT LOOKED FINE IN INKSCAPE.

I fixed the file and color separated it too. If you don't want all the people at once, you will have to delete their peices. I did it on 3 separate 12x12 mats, all in one file. As I design in inkscape, I haven't figured out the scal layers yet.

Foxy Box..Free svg

I came across a photo of this box and thought he was a cutie. Decided we might want to cut one out on our Cricut so came up with a pattern. You might like the box by itself for other uses, even if you don't want to accessorize it as a fox.

Brick Mosaic Card or Cut

I was playing around with making a brick wall effect for my card. I saw the technique over on splitcoaststampers. Of course, they cut everything by hand. Technique at Split Coast Stampers

Using the Cricut, you can cut your "bricks" and make a template to glue them onto easily.

First find a suitable image or stamp something like a vine and flowers onto some card stock.

Put it "upside down" on your cricut mat and cut. Number the squares just in case. Remove the mortar between the bricks(weed out the borders).

Then put the background piece of paper on your mat. Set the pressure to LOW so that the blade will just scrape the paper, leaving a mark but not cutting all the way through. This will give you a template to glue your bricks onto. IT will help you get the vertical and horizontal spacing and alignment correct. You could use some ink to create interest on the edges of each brick if you want.

Here is the result. I just used a piece of cardstock that had an image on it. I don't have any large stamps.This paper was on clearance at Michaels for 7/$1.00.

One Piece Box

You have probably seen these boxes at Dollar Tree. They are sold in the "wedding section".

 If they suit your purposes, I would just buy a set there. Unfortunately they only coome in a beige and white color, and are quite small(2" by 2.25"). I thought it might be fun to make our own, so I made my own pattern.

If you cut them out of two sided paper, they are almost decorated when you are done. Just add a few butterflies or hearts, and cut them out at the same time..

I did put in some of the score lines, but not all, as it really slows down the cutting. I tried to do the ones which folded in, instead of out. You can see from my picture where most of the score lines go. If you are cutting a lot of these, I'd just remove the score lines, after I cut one and see how it goes together.

The embellishments were just from the scal library.
