Gift Bag & Thank You Card

I made this gift bag for a wonderful friend of mine and what better gift for a card maker than adhesive dimensionals! I made this gift bag to go with a thank you card that I made a couple of weeks ago and I’m pleased with how this project turned out!

Oriental Star Book

I have taken a lot of classes with Jane Norrish and this was the very fist class I ever did with her and I was so impressed with myself for completing this project before I went home from class as I had never done such a complicated class. Jane made it all so simple and easy to follow and I couldn’t wait to do more classes with her after that. Her main design tip was to use a piercing template for the pages as this was the trick to make the project so neat and we used a book binding thread to secure the project together and even some fancy beading on the seam. We used foils to add some interest to the pages and the Gold Krylon pen to do some edges,special affects and details. Some of the image colouring was done with chalks to create a more subtle affect. I hope you enjoyed looking at one of my many treasures.

Handbag of Cards

I had a ball doing this class with Jane Norrish she is my amazing Stampin Up demonstrator who never ceases to amaze me with her knowledge and brilliant designs. I can’t show you the other two cards as I gave them away already which is so unlike me but I have my blog now and have a documented journey of both my cards and technological improvement on the computer. I’m enjoying both at the moment. In the last decade my business burnt to the ground and I’ve had my house and business flooded twice - all three life events not insured ,so this blog is my insurance of a preservation of all my artistic treasures.

I was dying to make something in hot pink,brown and lime green & enjoyed making this cute post it note pad for my handbag.
 

Gift from Jane

Here is another gift from Jane Norrish my Stampin Up demonstrator and friend. This post it note holder is perfect in my handbag. I love how Jane cut a V in the scallop punch for detail. Love it!
