Minecart Powered rail

I finished the small minecart station (Boodle Station) at the end of the Fucushima line and in the process got to play with powered rails.

I have decided to leave the booster carts on this line (I loose - nostalgia) but enhanced the line with power. My future lines will all be powered as I expect boosters to stop working in some future update.
This is Abby Station where all you need to do is get in the cart and hit the button. It's simple to build: two rails and a block with a button. The chest holds spare carts.

I experimented with different boosters and found one rail and two buttons works the best; anymore rails and the booster gets unpredictable.

This is the approach to Boodle Station.

This is the approach but from inside the station. The cart has the same 2 rail and button configuration.

This is the station from outside. I got tired of waiting for it to stop raining.

This is the Boodle district. The building to the far left is Boodle House: an exclusive club for gentlemen.
Here is a map of Boodle so far:

I rendered a world map and it came out at 37mb! Blogger rejected it.

Boodle was the name of the very first gentleman's club in England and Harrington house is named after the type font I'm using for these maps.

Rain!

I'm working on a train station at the end of the Fucushima line and suddenly it started raining! A nice new feature if it doesn't happen too often.

The only problem though is that glass doesn't stop the rain; so skylights don't work! Which was a major feature of my new station :(

More minecraft: cactus tower and huge road

So I've been doing a lot on my game. Probably too much. I maybe need a life. But I digress...

I made a cactus factory that replaced Malvin's Cacti & Dye (the meanest prick in town).

I started with a sketch:

I built the foundation:

Made the building:

It's two stories (96 cactus in total) and produces a lot of cactus. The pieces are delivered to Gravehome via an underground water system:

I might add another two stories or maybe place a mob tower on top. I'm not sure.

I've also built a huge road to meet up with Lakewood Cottage. It isn't very safe yet but there are a few travelers houses along the way:
WARNING: This file is huge!

The white line is the road and the oval is a huge tunnel.

The road takes around 10 min to travel completely

This house is about 2 min from Lakewood

The house only has the one room

My daughter made this house:

I accidentally let a Creeper blow it up (but I repaired it).
It's about 4 min to Lakewood from here.

Master bedroom upstairs

Common room in basement.

And I ran into some slimes in my travels. There were so many I think Notch must have made them common; mind you, I've only seen them in Spiderhome:
