Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge 124

Sunday and another wonderful scripture picked by one of my wonderful friends and sister in Christ, Linda. The scripture she choose is: Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

What a wonderful challenge. I know that I am not alone in struggling with my thought life. The following scripture is what came to my mind when I read the other one.
2 Corinthians 10:5 casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ

Lord, help me to take my thoughts and make them obedient to Christ, and to what you would will in my life. So that you will get the glory and I will be blessed. In Jesus's name amen!

Linda's challenge for us was to: Create a card/project true to your style - show us who you really are!

That was a challenge in and of itself. How would I describe my style? At first I thought I could describe my style as "Romantic, shabby, elegant, vintage, and a little off the wall". But that didn't seem to work, so I would describe my style as "Complicated Creative" But how to make a card that shows that? I choose to make my card with blues and greens my favorite color. It started out as white and I ink spray smashed the blues and greens and sprayed with with antique gold paint spray (My favorite technique). The I embossed it using my music embossing folder, because music is a big part of my life. I play piano and keyboard and sing on the worship team at my church. I added the lace because I love the vintage look. I love flowers, so I had to add the flowers. I added the 3-d paper tole rose because, I am going to share a tutorial on how I do paper tole. My friend Mary asked me about it this week and I thought showing her would help. I am also sharing because I am a teacher at heart. That is what my college degree is in, Elementary Education. So much description for one little card. Thanks for reading through it all. :)

Handmade Flower Card with Martha Stewart Punch by Anita Munro

Please Subscribe to my YouTube Channel Trish and Treasure

My Darling Daughter Anita who is only 10yrs old premade the Flower using all pink flowers but in different sizes, and when she liked what she had made she glued each layer together and added a butterfly bling embellishment to add a bit of her own personal flair. Anita placed a adhesive dimensional under the flower so it would pop off the card for added interest! She used a piece of pink paper and used the Martha Stewart Scroll Heart Deep Edger Border Punch down both sides to create a Lace Trim which she fixed to the card carefully with Glue. Anita added a sentiment using the Stampin Up Modern Label Punch and Stampin Up Word Window Punch and stamped using Colorbox Chalk ink her sentiment from Stampin Up Stamp Set called Teeny Tiny Sentiments.

Anita made this card for her school teacher for her Birthday and I was surprised to see that she had pre written on a notepad what she was going to write inside, which is very cute and thoughtful.

I will enter this card in the following challenges on her behalf:

Sneak Peek - Watermelon card.

This is for Splitcoast Free for all challenge to make a card that represented SUMMER to us. When I was little I remember eating watermelon at my grandma's house in the summer. She would cut us pieces and give us knives to eat the watermelons with. My great grandma, who lived to be 99 years old would always cut out the heart of the watermelon. She always said, when you have lived as long as I have you can do what you want. This watermelon stamp is a sneak peek at a set that will be released next week, by Mark's Finest Papers, called Planted with Love. I combined it with the checkerboard strip from another Mark's Finest Papers set called Snowman Country. The green panel, I ink spray smashed. I tried to get it to look like the outside of a watermelon. The checked paper I made using Excel. I made the cells square and colored them in a checkerboard pattern.

1" circle punch. Red and Green

Star punch for "BITE"

I put glue on back of red piece and glued off center to green piece.

I used a MS border punch as a mask for the seeds.

See how the leaves of the flowers kinda look like seeds?

I placed the mask over the watermelon.

I colored in the leaf area with black colored pencil.

How To Install Humans+

If you thought the millenaire mod was cool then you'll probably like this one too. It creates a bunch of wandering knights with different alignments and allegiances. They wander the world seeking enemies to kill and how you act will make them decide whether they like you or not.

It also adds horses and mounted knights! Yeah, I had to have it too!

It's a lot like Monty Pythons Holy Grail, in that, it seems completely random and more than a little silly sometimes (like random ninjas in the forest), but honestly: who cares! And with the millenaire mod the world seems a lot more alive.

Here are some screen shots:

Some evil dude in the village

A mounted knight.

Another knight

I found these two fighting in the woods.

This knight likes water
Grumpy knight.

How To Install The Humans+ Mod:

It is compatible with the millenaire mod.

You will need the AudioMod
You will need the ModLoader

====================================//==================================
I strongly recommend that you make a backup of your entire minecraft folder which you can find in C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft Simply copy and paste it into the Roaming (where .minecraft is) directory and windows will append a -copy to it. Now if something goes wrong you can delete your minecraft folder and remove the "-copy" from your backup and you're back in business.
==================================//=====================================

First you'll need to download it: Humans+ You can find more info here

Open the zip file with 7zip or WinRar (don't extract it)

Now go to  C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\minecraft.jar and open minecraft.jar the same way.

In Humans+ open the "Files to add to minecraft.jar" folder and click on the top folder then hold the shift key and click on the last file, so that everything is highlighted. Drag and drop into minecraft.jar.

Important: While minecraft.jar is still open delete the META-INF folder (if it's there).

Now open C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\resources\mod\sound\human

If the folders don't exist then make them. (right click  new>new folder and name it)

In the Humans+ zip you downloaded open the folder "Files to add to Resources" then "mod" then "sound" then "human" then, like above, highlight all the files.

Now drag and drop the files into C:\Users\Buckaroo Popcorn\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\resources\mod\sound\human

Now open the "mods" in the Humans+ zip.

Open C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods

Drag and drop the "HumansPlus" folder into the open mods folder

Now close everything, fire up Minecraft and with any luck, it should be running.

Knights won't appear on peaceful.

Please remember that modding anything implies risk and I am not making any promises that you will not encounter a problem. I'm simply explaining what worked for me. If you have difficulty try getting a new minecraft.jar, make sure you followed the instructions exactly, make sure you have the most up to date version of the mod and minecraft and remember that mods often don't work well together - which is why you backed up - right?

How To Install The Risugami AudioMod

How To Install AudioMod:

I'm doing this quick tutorial because this little mod is required by so many other mods. I couldn't find any easy tutorials on the subject so I thought I would write one.

This mod was made by the original designer of the minecraft sound code and it allows custom music and sounds. For example you can put new music in C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\resources\mod\music

This kinda explains it all
Download the AudiMod.

Open it with 7zip or WinRar

Go to C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\minecraft.jar and open minecraft.jar with 7zip or WinRar.

Now drag and drop the files and folders from Audio Mod into minecraft.jar

Important: While minecraft.jar is still open delete the META-INF folder (if it's there).

There you are - done!

- you did back everything up didn't you?

Minecraft Powered Rail

I thought I would post about the best way I've found to use powered rail so far.

There are stations all over Apvia to save walking time rail has become really important.

To start: this is the basic starter booster I have been using. It is a chest to hold minecarts, a block and switch and 5 powered rails (which minecraft wiki says gives the biggest boost).

Below are examples of  two way powered boosters (they'll boost a cart traveling either direction. The one on the right uses switches that turn power on when a cart runs over them. The one on the left is permenantly on by way of a redstone torch.

Below is an illustration of how a permanently running station works. The cart is always moving between the ends of the line.

I added two redstone torches per booster because sometimes the cart will stop. I'm not sure if it's a bug or I'm doing something wrong. Either way two torches fixes the problem

There is a loading platform where travelers can get in and out of the carts with a right click. Users simply wait at the station for the train to arrive and get off wherever it is they want to go. You can have many platforms and make the lines as long or short as you want or even make it go in a circle. I'm not sure if this is too disruptive on a server though since minecarts tend to use up a lot of clock cycles.

Mobs will, however, gum up the works on occasion. I'm waiting for the first creeper to arrive on a platform.

Thanx for following :)

Paper Tole Pansies Tutorial

Here is my tutorial I promised on yesterday's post.

This is how I pieced my pansies. This type of piecing is called paper tole.

I started by doing the ink spray and smash technique.

I scribbled several markers onto my acetate report folder.

This is how it looked after I sprayed the folder with water. I placed my cardstock on the marker-water droplets. When it was dry I stamped the pansies image 4 times. Time to cut... I first cut out the whole pansy.
Next I cut out all but the top left petal.
Then I cut it out, cutting the top two petals off.
Lastly, I cut just the top petal out.
I took scraps of craft foam that had adhesive on one side.
I cut the foam into pieces and stuck them to the bottom 3 flowers.
Since the adhesive was only on one side, I added Aleene's tacky

glue to the tops of the foam.
I placed the flowers on top of eachother in the order I cut them out.

To finish the pansy off. I added a pearl bead to the center.
Here they are on my card. I made this card

along the edge. I cut along the lace. The pansies are from

a Mark's Finest Papers set called HAPPY PANSIES. The

get well sentiment is from another Mark's Finest Papers set called,
