Table Centerpiece Lights

This one was cut in silver.
As I was looking at my butterfly light, I realized it was just a triangle, and I should be albe to make one in Scal. Using another scene I had of a wedding couple that I'd been working on for my son's wedding, I cut that, put a piece of velum behind it. Then I cut a piece the same height, and folded it in half, then glued it onto the velum backed cutout. I used some flickering battery powered candle lights from dollar tree to light it up.
Viola...instant decorations! You could make these for any party, putting any silhouette type pictures in the "frame". Many of my silhouettes in the fonts would work great.

This one was made about 5.5 inches high. It lets the
light go higher making it look less like a forest fire is about to consume them! lol
It also lets you cut a light out of a single piece of 12x12 paper.

I'll give you my file, but you will see you can just make your own with any framed silhouette type images.
I doubt anyone will need this exact light! The butterfly image from the previous post works nice and you can "color" it in on the velum.

Another idea would be to make the "tissue box" and cut out one side for a velum insert.

Who needs a glass block? lol

Cancer Awareness Centerpiece:

This was made using an image from my cancer awareness collection. It would be perfect for a relay for life kickoff meeting or luncheon honoring cancer survivors.

Here is the file:

Please check out my package for sale for $15.00 with many files related to the prevention, survival and journey of breast cancer victims. I donate $5.00 for each package sold.

My Son is Engaged..You get the free gift....free svg files

We have some exciting news in our family. My son Tim just go engaged to his girlfriend Amanda last week. My son rented a gondola on Lake Las Vegas and the gondola driver helped him pop the question by retrieving a message in a bottle, which AManda shakily opened. I don't know it the bottle of champagne they drank on board affected her performance, but I have an inkling it did. My son got down on his knee and asked for her hand, presenting her with a nice diamond ring. SHe said yes and all is well. Both families are excited, though I don't think we are planning a wedding anytime soon.

Anyway, I made them some die cuts to put in the scrapbook, and thought you might be able to use them too.

Ballerina Princess Dress Cupcake Toppers..Free svg file

I came across this great idea for a "cupcake" topper on this blog:
http://composinghallelujahs.blogspot.com/2009/02/how-to-make-paper-dress-cupcake-toppers.html
People are so creative!

She gives a great tutorial on how to make them. You can't cut tissue paper on the cricut, I've tried, so it would still require some hand cutting. I did convert the top of the dress pattern and am including it here:

If you have a girls birthday party or wedding shower, I think these cupcakes would be great! Especially, if you use my wedding dress and tuxedo favor boxes!

Please check out the tutorial on composinghallelujahs.blogspot.com.

Then I started looking around on the net, for other types of cupcake toppers. I see a lot that we can make on our cricut.

Here are just a few ideas. I combined some of the nestible shapes I had made earlier to make a frame. Them I used different stencil fonts to add a message and used dingbats to add a picture. Stencil pictures work really nicely(I used ge nautica and ge silhouette teddy). Also you can use any die cut you already have(I wouldn't want to use any with too many pieces!). You can attach them to a lollipop stick, a lollipop, or a popsicle stick so you can stick them in the cupcake. Those are safer than toothpicks, for small children.

The ideas are endless...Make your favorite sports mascot for the men in your life or a super bowl party, your favorite cartoon character, or something to match your paper plates. You can also make a centerpiece by making the same design larger and putting it on longer stick in a flower pot or piece of styrofoam. Don't stop there. Make a string of the cupcake topper designs to make a border or banner.

Here is a link to these samples I made I don't know if you'll want it, but just in case, I'll attach it. The monkey is new.
