Another Flower Shape to Fold

You can make this one large enough to be a card. I put three sizes of this flower in the file. There is one on the first page, two on the next. I cut the first one at max size. I put the smallest one in the middle of the card.

Rosettes or Fanfold f lowers

Today on another blog, I saw examples of fan fold flowers. They used a punch I didn't have to cut the paper, but of course, I knew we could do it on out Cricut. To see her examples on pigtailspapertrails blog:

To see Folding instructions and examples

I had made a rosette the other day for a clown box I made, so I knew just what to do.

Here is the file to cut the paper, before folding. It adds score lines so you know where to fold.

Gazebos

Magarita was looking for a gazebo for a wedding card and I found two that I converted to svgs and shared with out surecutsalot yahoo group. Since not everyone is in our yahoo group, I decided to post the files here too.

Gazebo 1                             Gazebo with Dome

These would be nice for a wedding or garden card. You could put a silhouette of a wedding couple inside the gazebo. Enjoy!

Friends of the Forest and a Tree

I totally forgot about the files for this paper piecing, I first showed on m blog last July. Someone asked for an svg of a hedgehog, and it reminded me about these cute little hedgehogs and other animals in this file. I zipped the files together. Download them if you'd like to make some of the animals or even the whole scene with the tree.

Baby Tiger Svg

Someone was looking for a tiger, so I made this cute little guy. Except for the eyes and nose, you only have two pieces to glue together. Things with stripes are tricky to create, so you don't have to glue them all on.

Anytime is Family Time

http://www.mediafire.com/?wiijr1ymmxj

Tfile I give you has the word FAMILY in the middle. I give you instructions on the font I used, and how to change it to your family name. Or just weld the word family onto the circle instead, if you like it. This would be a nice design to cut in vinyl and put on a tile.

A simple title I created for a greeting card someone was making for a new baby boy. Thought I should post it here on my blog too, just in case someone else needs it

Haul your Treats in this Truck Favor Box: Free Svg to cut with SCAL

Here is a new favor box you can make on your Cricut if you have the Sure Cuts a Lot software and the svg file you download from dscrapbookingroom.blogspot.com and a little patience. This one is more challenging to assemble than the car.

First crease all the folds on the foldlines. Notice that on the "cab" of the truck, those folds are "backwards" from the rest. The cab of he truck is narrower than the back of the truck and looks like it is coming out of the back of the truck once it is assembled.

Glue the truck back.

Prefold the front of the truck. Glue each section of the top to the side tabs. Use a quick drying, strong glue like Fast Grab Tacky Glue from Aleene's(bought at Michaels).

Attach the wheels and back bumper trim. Fold the cab and attach to the front of the truck, aligning the windows. The top of the side doors can be "folded under" and over the top of the door frame before the top is glued on to make for a neater appearance.

The two files you need are here:

Ballerina Paperdoll and/or Cupcake Topper ..Free svg file

The file:

http://www.mediafire.com/?yytwm3ze3nm

I forgot to post this one earlier. I can't keep up with myself!

Ballerina Princess Dress Cupcake Toppers..Free svg file

I came across this great idea for a "cupcake" topper on this blog:
http://composinghallelujahs.blogspot.com/2009/02/how-to-make-paper-dress-cupcake-toppers.html
People are so creative!

She gives a great tutorial on how to make them. You can't cut tissue paper on the cricut, I've tried, so it would still require some hand cutting. I did convert the top of the dress pattern and am including it here:

http://www.mediafire.com/?g0eidlmtwi5

If you have a girls birthday party or wedding shower, I think these cupcakes would be great! Especially, if you use my wedding dress and tuxedo favor boxes!

Please check out the tutorial on composinghallelujahs.blogspot.com.

Then I started looking around on the net, for other types of cupcake toppers. I see a lot that we can make on our cricut.

Here are just a few ideas. I combined some of the nestible shapes I had made earlier to make a frame. Them I used different stencil fonts to add a message and used dingbats to add a picture. Stencil pictures work really nicely(I used ge nautica and ge silhouette teddy). Also you can use any die cut you already have(I wouldn't want to use any with too many pieces!). You can attach them to a lollipop stick, a lollipop, or a popsicle stick so you can stick them in the cupcake. Those are safer than toothpicks, for small children.

The ideas are endless...Make your favorite sports mascot for the men in your life or a super bowl party, your favorite cartoon character, or something to match your paper plates. You can also make a centerpiece by making the same design larger and putting it on longer stick in a flower pot or piece of styrofoam. Don't stop there. Make a string of the cupcake topper designs to make a border or banner.

Here is a link to these samples I made I don't know if you'll want it, but just in case, I'll attach it. The monkey is new.
