Floral Cuts Perfect for Cards

Another Flower Shape to Fold

You can make this one large enough to be a card. I put three sizes of this flower in the file. There is one on the first page, two on the next. I cut the first one at max size. I put the smallest one in the middle of the card.

Lattice Type Flowers for your Scrapbook Pages or Cards

These flowers look like this when you cut them. What I like about them is that it is a single piece I have to keep track of. There are no individual petals to assemble later. You could cut out a bunch of these in different colors and fold them as needed.

Some of them look good backwards and frontwards giving you two different looks from the same cut.

This one I decided to fold back the petals a second time, to get the contrasting paper to show in the middle.

Fold on the dotted lines. Go in a clockwise direction and fold each down, so that the next petal overlaps, tucking the last one under the first. Add a button or dot in the middle for a cute 3 dimensional page or card adornment.  For the Blue and white flowers I had sized the page so that 6 fit on the mat(about 8 inches). The polka dot ones are larger, 4 were cut from 12 inch paper.

Did I forget the download link? Whoops! I had uploaded the file.

Cards with Pop_out Flowers

Make this cute card with a pop-out flower. It is so easy using your Cricut to do the cutting!  Use a crisp paper that cuts smoothly for this project. Mine was a little ragged, but when I cut it on black paper it worked great.

Just cut the card, fold the petals up. line with a solid color. I put an embellishment in the middle. Added some adhesive paper ribbon.

For this card I used the cricut markers. I loaded the paper and switched the blade to a marker. I cut. Then I pressed load paper a second time. Changed back to the blade. Cut again. Now the petals are outlined in orange marker.

I used the "stencil" to color in the petals. Scalloped_flowers file contains the stencils. Just hold it in place with some temporary adhesive on top of your cut file. I used markers but you would get a much better look daubing on some ink with a sponge. Remove the stencil. Fold the petals up. I backed the flower with a solid color.

Gardenia

An online friend was looking for a gardenia to cut on her cricut. It was hard to find an image that showed a whole flower. I came up with this one and converted it. You cut a solid green background, glue on the white flower background, then over lay the black details.

Snowdrops...Lovely White Flowers...free svg

Someone was looking for a snowdrop flower. I found a drawing online and converted it. Now I've only seen photos of this flower, but this looks close! I welded as many pieces together as I could, to make it easy to piece. I figure I might as well post the file on my blog, in case others would like it.

Floral Favor Box SVG File

These floral favor boxes will make a beautiful addition to your reception or wedding shower decorations and add a soft splash of summer color to your decor. I could see them on the table at a tea party or brunch too. Place the favor of your choice in the green cardboard base and complete the box by adding the leaf and flower shapes.

For your flowers, have fun cutting different color flower tops and types. If you glue all the sides but one, and use double sided tape on the last one, you should be able to slip your party favor or candy into the box, right before the party.

Unfortunately, it is laid out to cut on my 12x24 mat. I'll probably add some more flower types tomorrow and separate it into smaller files.

I hope you like!

Fancy Flower Box SVG

Fancy boxes inspired by Vanessa. Thanks for the idea. I put the design on all 4 sides. I guess you don't really need it! More later! These use entire sheet of 12x12 paper, so make a 4 inch square box. Set page size to 11.5 inches before importing the file into scal. I have it set to cut on 12x24 inch mat. If you have 12x12 mat, you'll just have to shift the images so you cut one at a time.
